Spiritual / Faith-Based Counseling for Teen Girls and Young Women

Faith-based support for when your heart feels heavy, and your prayers feel unanswered.

You believe in your God. But that doesn’t mean you feel okay.

You’ve been told to “pray about it,” “have more faith,” or “give it to God.”

But what do you do when you’ve already done all of that—and you’re still hurting?

  • the thoughts won’t stop

  • you feel broken, disconnected, and ashamed

  • you feel unsure of who you’re meant to be

  • you’ve stopped asking for help—because you’re afraid people will say the pain means something’s wrong with your faith or you never asked in the first place

But needing support doesn’t mean you’re failing. Doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you’re human.

And healing doesn’t have to happen separate from your faith.

What healing can look like through a faith-based lens…

It means you’re no longer carrying it alone, and know what do do with it.

You may notice:

  • You separate your pain from your identity

  • Your faith becomes a source of comfort—not guilt or pressure

  • You can be honest about what you’re feeling without shame

  • You have more space to pause, cope, and choose what comes next

Over time, healing can look like:

  • Feeling more grounded—emotionally and spiritually

  • Rebuilding trust in yourself and your faith

  • Experiencing peace in small, real moments

  • Living with a sense of purpose that feels steady, not forced

You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.

Therapy can help you start.

Hi, I’m Crystal!

If you’re here, you might be carrying more than anyone else realizes—suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or a level of emotional pain that feels overwhelming and hard to explain.

You don’t have to go through that alone.

I’m deeply committed to helping people navigate these moments—not just professionally, but from a place of experienced understanding.

I’m also a person of faith, with specialized graduate training in faith-based counseling and a professional certification in integrating mental health and spirituality.

You don’t have to choose between your mental health and your faith.
In this space, both can work together to support your healing.

My role is to help you make sense of what you’re feeling—understanding the thoughts, emotions, trauma, and patterns that keep you stuck—while also creating space for your faith to be part of the process, if that’s important to you.

Our work together is collaborative and personalized.

That might look like:

  • Bringing your faith into the healing process in a way that feels supportive, not forced

  • Making space for honest questions, struggles, or even distance from your faith

  • Using evidence-based approaches alongside spiritual grounding

  • Helping you reconnect with both yourself and your beliefs in a way that feels real

You deserve a space where all parts of you are welcome.
Where nothing has to be hidden.
And where healing doesn’t require you to leave your faith behind.

How Faith-Based Counseling Works

Together, we’ll explore where your emotional and spiritual pain overlap—and how your faith, values, and beliefs can support your healing rather than work against it.

That may include:

  • Processing the questions, fears, shame, or doubts you’ve been carrying alone

  • Understanding patterns like perfectionism, pressure, or spiritual disconnection

  • Making space for wounds that have been minimized or pushed aside

  • Reconnecting with yourself, your faith, and what feels meaningful to you

Whether you feel deeply connected to your God, distant, or unsure what you believe right now—there is space for you here.

If it feels helpful, we can incorporate prayer, scripture, reflection, or faith-based tools—but always at your pace, with your full consent.

This is your space. Your story. Your healing.

FAQs

  • Then you’re exactly where you need to be.

This space isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about exploring the questions with honesty, compassion, and hope. It’s for the moments when the answers you’ve been given don’t feel like they’re helping. God isn’t afraid of your doubt. And neither am I.

Here you’re allowed to ask the hard questions. And you don’t have to figure them out alone.

  • We move at your pace. You’ll never be forced to into something you’re not ready for.

We focus on healing the pain underneath—with compassion, curiosity, and a whole lot of courage.

We can include scripture and prayer into sessions, but only if you want that.

Teletherapy makes it easy to access support from the safety and privacy of your space (no coffee shops or shared spaces—your story deserves protection).

  • Everyone’s journey is different, but many clients start noticing small shifts within the first few sessions—whether it’s sleeping better, feeling less reactive, or having more awareness around their thoughts. Real, lasting change takes time, but you don’t have to wait months to feel relief.

  • When faith is important in your family, it can be hard to find a therapist who respects that while also honoring emotional pain.

In this space, your teen or young adult doesn’t have to choose between their faith and their feelings. We’ll hold both gently, with respect for their journey and yours.

You can support them by joining sessions if they want, attending educational meetings with me, and reminding them they are strong enough to support this. When they want to talk and share their progress - listen.

You do not have to choose between faith and mental health care.
