Intensive Therapy for Teen Girls and Young Women
You’ve done the work. Now it’s time to feel the change.
You’ve been going to weekly therapy—maybe for years.
You’ve talked it out. Done all the homework. Tried all the skills. But no matter how hard you try, it still feels like you’re stuck in the same loop:
The thoughts keep spiraling
The emotions keep crashing
You keep surviving, but not thriving
It’s like you’re pouring everything into recovery—and getting almost nothing back.
You know you need something more. You’re just not sure what that is.
Why Weekly Therapy Isn’t Always Enough
Weekly therapy is helpful—but limited. Just as you're starting to open up, time runs out. Just when things start getting real, you have to put it all back in the box for next week.
Therapy intensives change that.
They give you the space to stay with the hard stuff long enough to actually move through it—instead of circling around it week after week.
Just Out of the Hospital?
This Can Be Your Next Step.
If you’re coming out of an inpatient stay, partial program, or crisis stabilization, you might feel unsure what comes next. You’re not in crisis anymore—but you’re not ready to just go back to “normal” either.
Therapy intensives offer a bridge between higher-level care and regular outpatient therapy.
They give you a chance to keep your momentum, reinforce your safety, and get real support during that fragile in-between space—before things backslide or spiral again.
What Is a Therapy Intensive?
A therapy intensive is a focused, extended session (or series of sessions) that gives you the space and time to go deeper—fast. To get to the root of the work, for real.
Think:
6 hours a day for 3 days
10 hours over a weekend
Custom timing that fits your needs
You won’t just “check in and check out.” You’ll stay with the work long enough to actually move through it.
And yes—it can be virtual, with breaks and pacing designed for safety and comfort.
What an Intensive Can Help You Do — Start the S.H.I.F.T.
Intensive therapy helps you disrupt the patterns that weekly therapy doesn’t have the time to touch. It helps you make a lasting S.H.I.F.T. in your recovery.
Silence the mental noise
Heal what’s underneath the symptoms
Interrupt the cycles keeping you stuck
Find clarity, fast
Take back control of your story
This isn’t about rushing. It’s about getting out of the spin and into something solid.
Intensives help you soften the self-hate, control the spiral, and make space for something else—the experience that a big S.H.I.F.T. is happening in your recovery.
Teletherapy gives you access to that space from wherever you feel safest. You just need a private, quiet spot and a stable internet connection. (No shared rooms or coffee shops, please—your voice deserves privacy.)
You don’t have to fight this alone.
You feel like weekly therapy keeps restarting the same conversation
You’re emotionally stuck, spiraling, or overwhelmed
You want real change, not just insight
You’re craving momentum but don’t know how to get it
You’re tired of surviving and want to feel alive again
You’re transitioning out of inpatient or residential care and want structured, meaningful support

FAQs
-
Great question! Therapy intensives are designed with careful pacing, built-in breaks, and refocusing tools.
And you’re never dropped afterward—we’ll make a plan together to carry your progress forward, whether you return to weekly sessions or continue deeper work.
-
No one will force you to do anything you do not want to do. Part of the closure process for the therapy intensive is developing a sustainable plan that fits YOUR needs.
Some people decide to continue weekly therapy after they get over the big issue they needed to work through, some decide to schedule a refresher intensive several weeks or months later, some decide they will reach back out if and when they need additional support. And there are many other options that may be more beneficial to you than these few examples.
-
Everyone’s journey is different, but many clients start noticing significant shifts within the first few hours—whether it’s feeling calmer, feeling more in control, or having more awareness around their thoughts. Real, lasting change takes time, but with therapy intensives, you don’t have to wait months or years to feel relief.
-
Intensives can give you the results you would get from months of therapy in a much shorter period of time. If you add up the cost of weekly therapy, an Intensive is actually more cost effective. Instead of waiting months, you can get the same results in a few days.
-
You may be exploring therapy intensives because traditional sessions haven’t been enough—and that can feel discouraging.
Intensives aren’t about rushing the process. They’re about creating focused, supportive space for deeper work. If you’re wondering if this is the right fit for your teen or young adult, I’ll help you find clarity - no pressure, just partnership.
You’re not alone in this, and you’re not failing - we’ll navigate it together.
